I hired April Carlson to represent me in a child support/child custody case. She clearly did not have the time nor the desire to help me. The communication was mostly done between her paralegal and myself. April constantly left me hanging, not returning emails and phone calls for weeks and sometimes not at all. As time went on and the case got "messier" the worse the communication became. There were some particular things that happened that had me questioning if I should seek a new attorney. Then as she is supposedly working on a motion for a court case for me when I get an email with a letter stating "at this time I don't feel that I have adequate time to continue to work on your matter" and that the office was withdrawing. I tried calling her office after I received this email and was dodged and given an excuse by the paralegal. I do not find this to be professional behavior especially for an attorney who claims wanting to help people. I would not recommend April Carlson.
